So here begineth the Sentinel 7109 restoration project blog!
The first few posts and things are likely to be somewhat amateurish while I get the hang of using "Blogger". Hopefully things will then become a little more refined so bear with me!
The point of the blog is to chart the restoration activities as they happen although this was shot in the foot a long time ago as the process began in December 2004! Some posts will therefore be undoubtedly retrospective (but never mind!).
I'm also including some static background information about the inner workings of 7109. Being an Engineer, I'm fascinated by how things work more than the number or colour of the paintwork. During restoration, I've taken many photos of the working parts while disassembled. The pictures show details which probably aren't often seen; however, it will take time to put these together (as well as actually doing the hands-on restoration work!).
Apologies to anyone who attempts to subscribe. It's all a bit new to me so things may change/get lost/updated as time goes on. Keep trying; it will settle down eventually!
